Human-Centred AI Accreditation

Independent recognition of mature organisational practice. Demonstrate your commitment to human-centred AI adoption through evidence-based standards.

Independent review. Expert interpretation. A clear route forward.

The Human-Centred AI Accreditation is more than an assessment against a framework. Across eight  weeks, a dedicated Chartered Psychologist reviews your organisational evidence, assesses your approach across five human-centred AI domains and translates the findings into a tangible strengths and actions.

You then work directly with your psychologist to understand the implications, answer key questions and turn the findings into practical next steps.

01

How it works

A guided and clearly defined assessment brief

Your dedicated Chartered Psychologist begins by helping you understand the scope of the accreditation, the evidence required and how your organisation will be assessed.
You receive clear guidance on what to provide, with support available throughout the evidence-submission process. This ensures that the assessment reflects your organisational context rather than reducing your approach to a generic checklist.

02

Independent assessment by a Chartered Psychologist

Your submitted organisational evidence is independently reviewed against the five Human-Centred AI Accreditation domains. The assessment applies an evidence-informed psychological perspective to how AI is affecting people, behaviour, decisions and organisational performance.

03

A detailed, decision-ready findings report

You receive a detailed, decision-ready report prepared by your Chartered Psychologist presenting findings across all five domains and prioritised recommendations.

04

One-to-one psychologist feedback session

Every accreditation includes a 60-minute session with the Chartered Psychologist to discuss findings, address nuances and understand the implications for your specific team or project.

What does the accreditation assess?

The Human-Centred AI Accreditation assesses whether an organisation is using AI in ways that protect and strengthen the people capabilities on which sustainable performance depends.

The assessment is structured around five interconnected domains.

01

Human Capability and Expertise

What we assess

  • Employees’ confidence and capability to use AI appropriately
  • Understanding of what AI can and cannot do
  • Protection and development of important human expertise
  • Learning and development for AI-enabled work
  • Risks such as over-reliance, cognitive offloading and deskilling

Why it matters

'Efficiency gains may be short-lived if an organisation becomes increasingly dependent on technology while its internal expertise declines. AI should extend what people can achieve without weakening their ability to think, question and perform independently.'

02

Judgement and Decision Quality

What we assess

  • Appropriate human oversight of AI-supported decisions
  • Employees’ ability to verify and challenge AI outputs
  • Awareness of automation bias, anchoring and confirmation bias
  • Clarity of decision-making roles and accountability
  • Routes for escalating uncertain or harmful outputs

Why it matters

'Keeping a person nominally “in the loop” does not guarantee meaningful oversight. Decision quality depends on whether people have the capability, authority and confidence to question AI.'

03

Sustainable Performance and Wellbeing

What we assess

  • The impact of AI on workload and work intensity
  • Whether efficiency gains create realistic expectations
  • Employee understanding of changing roles and responsibilities
  • Stress, anxiety and uncertainty associated with AI adoption
  • The effect of AI on meaningful and manageable work

Why it matters

'Faster work is not necessarily better work. AI adoption is more sustainable when productivity is balanced with realistic demands, role clarity, meaningful contribution and employee wellbeing.'

04

Trust, Voice and Psychological Safety

What we assess

  • Transparency about where and why AI is used
  • Employee consultation and involvement
  • Opportunities to question AI-supported decisions
  • Confidence to report concerns, mistakes or unintended consequences
  • How leaders respond to employee feedback
  • Perceptions of fairness, trust and psychological safety

Why it matters

'Organisations cannot manage emerging risks if employees feel unable to speak honestly about mistakes, concerns or how AI is actually being used.'

05

Learning and Adaptability

What we assess

  • Ongoing development of employee AI capability
  • Leaders’ ability to manage AI-enabled change
  • How employee feedback is used to improve practice
  • Review of unintended behavioural consequences
  • Learning from mistakes, incidents and experiments
  • Whether policies and practices evolve as circumstances change

Why it matters

'Responsible AI use cannot remain static. Organisations need to learn from experience, respond to emerging risks and update their approach without losing clarity, trust or accountability.'

Five domains. One connected picture.

The domains are assessed together because strengths in one area cannot always compensate for weaknesses in another. An organisation may have strong governance, for example, while employees lack the confidence to question AI or the opportunities needed to maintain their expertise.

The accreditation provides a structured view of how AI is affecting people, decisions and organisational performance.
